Share Your Story ~ if You Are a Survivor
We hope that We Refuse, Inc. will help women and men trapped in a cycle of domestic violence throughout the country. While a peaceful resolution is best, if you or someone you love feels that there is a serious threat to your life, you MUST CALL 911.
One of our biggest supporters, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department has set up the Domestic Violence Crisis Center with a hotline number. They CAN help to place you and your family in a safe environment and work with you to find legal representation.
Please do not turn a blind eye to suspicious situations. If you have concerns about a neighbor, speak up! It may just take a kind word from a friendly neighbor that can lead to saving one’s life.
Our publication will be available for free in public libraries, police departments, court houses, hospital emergency rooms, as well as other public settings where victims may find themselves, i.e. hair salons. It will also be available online. Let us know if you would like to share your story.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
